In every partner school we set up a cultural heritage kit to carry "realia" of our project along with our knowledge and memories of each country we explored.
The items in each partner country kit focus on cultural heritage. As described by
UNESCO, cultural heritage encompasses three main categories of heritage: tangible
culture, such as monuments, buildings, archaeological sites, books, works of art and
artifacts; intangible culture, such as oral traditions, customs, folklore, performing
arts, language, lifestyle and values; and natural heritage, such as natural sites,
cultural landscapes and physical, biological or geological formations. The kit contents
will help pupils explore their cultural heritage, analyze its meaning and importance
and look at different ways of how it is passed on from generation to generation. The
kit will also be shared with neighboring schools to raise awareness of European
cultural heritage and learn how to appreciate it and preserve it.
